Technical Committees on standardization are established by the Technical Standardization Boards. They are working bodies of the BDS, responsible for the standardization activities in specific areas of economy.
The standardization work is performed by the active participation of TCs members and experts. The number of active BDS technical committees as of present date is 78, working in various industrial sectors. The fields of activity of BDS Technical Committees recover approximately 80% of CEN, CENELEC, ISO and IEC Technical Committees.
Members of BDS Technical Committees on standardization are representatives from state administration, research and academic establishments, laboratories and business, including producers and traders. BDS has a policy for broaden the circle of participants in national standardization work.
Technical Committees are established and disbanded by the Technical Boards.
