CEN new project committee: CEN/PC 450 "Minimum requirements of patient involvement in person-centred care"

CEN National Members approved the proposal of Sweden for the creation of a new Project Committee “Minimum requirements of patient involvement in person-centered care”.

The aim of the committee will be to create a common European standard that specifies the minimum requirements for patient involvement in health care services provision. The main focus will be the provision of such health care services that ensure the opportunity for choice and orientation of healthcare treatment in view of patient’s needs and values. Another important aspect of the standard will be initiating and developing a partnership between patients, relatives that take care of them and the healthcare professionals.
