ISO proposal for the creation of a new technical committee on “Safety management of complex technical systems”

 

The national standards body of Russia (GOST) submits to ISO a proposal for the creation of a new Technical Committee “Safety management of complex technical systems”.

 

The scope of the new Technical Committee is standardization in the field of complex technical systems, such as aerospace systems, including all their constituent components (operators, manufacturers of industrial products, industrial infrastructures, maintenance and repair organizations, training centers, etc), all addressed throughout the full Life Cycle.

 

The program of work of the committee will include the development of items related to terms and definitions, classification of risk factors, procedures for determining Safety Efficiency, including predictive risk modeling and recommendations on the practical application of risk management.

 

In case of national interest, BDS can approve the creation of ISO/TC on “Safety management of complex technical systems”. If the establishment of ISO/TC is accepted by the national standards bodies – members of ISO, Bulgaria can obtain P- or O-membership in the work of the newly established committee.
