Proposal for the creation of a new CEN/TC "Quality of care for elderly people in ordinary or residential care facilities"

The national standards body of Sweden (SIS) makes a proposal for the creation of a new Technical Committee “Quality of care for elderly people in ordinary or residential care facilities”.

The principal aim of the committee will be to develop a standard or set of standards specifying requirements that would guarantee good and safe care, service, nursing and rehabilitation for elderly people by having as starting point their needs. The standard or the set of standards is intended to be used during quality assurance, follow-up, evaluation and development of such services and can be used to provide basic information during procurement and activities related to education, supervision and certification.

The national stakeholders can provide their position on the proposal by 10 of March 2016 to Kamelia Milanova, email: kamelia.milanova@bds-bg.org, tel. +359 2 81 74 539.
