BDS 15:2010 “Bulgarian white cheese in brine”/Amendment 1:2014 is effective from 19.05.2014
 
Bulgarian Institute for Standardization (BDS) informs, that BDS 15:2010 “Bulgarian white cheese in brain”/Amendment 1:2014 enters into force on 19.05.2014. Its publication was announced in BDS Official Bulletin issue 4/2014.
 
BDS 15:2010 “Bulgarian white cheese in brain”/Amendment 1:2014 is used only together with the main BDS 15:2010 standard.
 
Under the amendment, the upper limit of the acidity indicator of finished product changes: it is now “not more than 300” Тörner acid degrees.
 
The amendment became possible as a result of consensus reached at the second BDS/TC 32 “Agricultural and food products” meeting. The meeting was attended by representatives and experts of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Ministry of Economy and Energy, the Bulgarian Food and Safety Agency, the National Center of Public Health and Analyses, the University of Food Technology – Plovdiv, the National Diagnostic Science-and-Research Veterinary Medical Institute “Prof. Dr. Georgy Pavlov”, leading manufacturers and the two branch organizations of dairy processors.
 
A wide public enquiry to all interested parties was held at the end of 2013 with no negative comments.
